A mast pole suitable for mounting wind generators that is 50mm in diameter. This may seem large, but the manufacturers assume that the generator will be mounted high up and the stiffness of a 2 (50mm) mast would be required. If you intend to mount your wind generator at, say the back of a yacht or cruiser you may be able to get away with a smaller diameter mast, say 32mm. We are stocking the 50mm mast in 2m lengths only and have an adaptor to allow you to fit a 32mm mast to the unit. We warn you, however, that we do not recommend a 32mm mast any longer than 700mm. You will have to source this yourself and recommend that you purchase a piece of 32mm tubing with a wall thickness of 1.2 1.5mm minimum. Remember, the unit rotates on the axis of the pole, so the fan blades must clear all nearby obstructions.
