- The UV bulb is a critical component of the air purification system, effectively eliminating germs and bacteria. It inhibits the growth of odor-causing microbes on the air purifier filter surface. Microscopic airborne organisms, which can multiply if untreated, are trapped in air filters. Exposure to UV light wavelengths renders bacteria and viruses incapable of reproduction. The air purifier's indicator light will illuminate red when the bulb requires replacement. This bulb is compatible with the TruSens Z1000 Air Purifier.
