The RE6100 is an electrolytic capacitor with a large capacitance achieved through a high concentration of ions in a liquid or gel electrolyte. It is polarized and must have a greater voltage on the positive terminal than on the negative terminal. The capacitor can be used as a filter in devices and power supplies to reduce voltage ripple and as an input/output smoothing LPF. It has a ripple current of 100mA and is mounted via PC mount (RB).
