The SF2266 is a device that trips under short circuit conditions, and features protective rubber caps, a test button and gold plated terminals. It is molded in black electrical grade bakelite and allows for resetting instead of finding a new fuse. It has lower voltage drop than a fuse and can be used as an occasional circuit isolation switch. It has two current ratings and is ideal for car sound installations. It operates on 12 to 14V DC and has a maximum tripping current of 110A. It also has a test button and can be reset with a simple lever action.
