- The RP3706 potentiometer features an imperial standard shaft and bushings, crafted to meet our stringent engineering specifications. These full-size potentiometers have a 24mm diameter and a maximum power rating of 0.5W. The 6.35mm (1/4 inch) shaft is precision-machined with a flat surface, covering 25% of the diameter, to accommodate grubscrews or interference fit knob mounting. The shaft measures 38mm in length, and the bush is a 3/8 32 T.H.D. type, ensuring secure panel attachment.
A key advantage of the RP3706 is its PCB mount capability, with pins securely mounted on phenolic material and the center pin offset from the outer terminals. This design provides stability when soldered onto a PCB, eliminating the need for additional mechanical support. Double gang pots are secured in six locations, further enhancing stability. The pins are sufficiently large to accommodate screened cable termination, facilitating hard wiring when necessary. An engineering drawing is available for designing PCB artwork, as this design is standardized.
