- The XC5090 Tone Generator is an essential tool for network installation and troubleshooting, offering both single and multi-tone signal capabilities. It includes test leads and four-conductor modular cables. The emitted signal can be easily traced by the accompanying probe, even when cables are bundled or concealed in punch-down blocks or wall plates. Additionally, the generator can assess telephone line polarity and status, such as Ring, Busy, or Idle. The probe features an insulated inductive pickup, amplifying the tone signal to an audible level, and includes an LED for visual indication. Users can adjust the volume and deactivate indicators as needed.
Please note, the device requires two 9V batteries, which are sold separately.
